Maths and Literacy Worksheets and How to Use Them

What Are Worksheet Experiences?

Our Maths and Literacy Experiences include worksheets that students carry with them throughout the session. At specific moments, the story pauses, and students answer a few questions on their worksheets. When they finish, you press Continue on the app, and the story resumes.

How Does It Work?

• The story will pause at designated points to allow students time to complete worksheet tasks.
• Students can work individually or in pairs to answer the questions.
• Once ready, pressing Continue on the app advances the story.

Finding and Using Worksheets

• You can find the worksheets in the Resources section of the Experience.
• Worksheets usually come in different levels, so you can print the appropriate ones for your students’ abilities.
• For example, levels might correspond to Year 4 Secure to Mastery or Year 5 Emerging to Secure, though terminology may vary by school.

Organising Worksheets During the Experience

• Students can carry their worksheet and pencil with them as they move through the story.
• Alternatively, you can set up a worksheet station in the room where students leave their materials and return to them during worksheet moments.
• This helps keep things organised and ensures materials are ready when needed.

Time Commitment

• These Experiences typically take about 25 minutes of story time plus an additional 25 minutes for completing worksheet activities.
• The extra time allows students to engage thoughtfully with the questions without feeling rushed.

• They provide a low-pressure, engaging way to support learning while keeping students immersed in the story.
• Combining physical worksheets with interactive storytelling caters to different learning styles and helps reinforce key concepts.
